Attractions and Places to See

Arrive At Paro:
To start the trek, you need to reach Paro where your tour guide will wait with his team to greet you and transfer to a hotel. On your arrival, you can have a look at the Paro valley. The more you explore this region, the more you find mesmerizing things of nature. You can plan to visit the Rinpung Dzong, Ta Dzong which is a National museum now and then Dumtse Lhakhang. Lastly, you can stroll with your partner around the town and enjoy the local lifestyle.

The Tigers Nest Hike:
Get ready early in the morning to start from Tiger’s Nest Base and your destination is to hike till goemba. Hiking to the Taktsang Goemba can take 3-4 hours at a normal speed, as it is an uphill task. You can choose to explore the Tiger’s Nest, and once you are done the exploring, you can choose to follow the same path. Check the known Kyichu Lhakhang which is the oldest and first temple in Bhutan that dates back to 7th century. Once you have visited these places, you can then drive back to your hotel.

Paro-Gur-Gyenekha:
Once you have completed your breakfast, continue driving to Gyenekha which is under Thimphu district. Once you take the main road, take the farm road which will be another 8km to the school. From the school, you will find a tiny descent lake where the trekking team will be waiting for you. The adventure begins here. First day, you have to trek only for 7km which will begin from crossing the suspension bridge and then gently going uphill till you reach Gur campsite. Here you will find yaks, a huge number of wildflowers along with massive juniper and fig forest.

Labatamba:
The trail will start from the birch, fir, spruce and the rhododendron forest. The trek will end on the Pagalaptsa pass. From here, the gradual slope will provide you with a panoramic view of the sounding landscape. The beauty of the farfetched Himalayan peaks and the mesmerizing Mt. Kanchenjunga makes it a photographer’s paradise. The more you continue to the trail, you will find yak herders with a mesmerizing backdrop that is certainly worth taking pictures.

Tsibsaba:
Once you leave the campsite, you will cross a small river. From here, you will find there gradually ascending. Once you leave the pass, you will be greeted with Langtso Lake and then to the Lawagu Pass. From the zenith, you can find a spectacular view of the Mt. Jomolhari along with the other mountain peaks. Spending time with your partner here in the wilderness provides you with the chance to know each other even better.

Wangrapang:
Your trail will start from descending from the rich rhododendron. You need to keep continuing downhill from the dense fir, rhododendron, hemlock, pine and spruce forest. This is definitely a very gentle path, but there might be some point where you have to cross the wet and muddy roads. In your route, you will also find herds of horses and yaks. Finally, you will be taken to the open meadow that is a campsite.
