Baga Beach is one of the most visited tourist spots in India. It is located on the Bank of Baga River at Calangute village in North Goa about 10 km away from Mapusa and 17 km from Panaji. This beach is sandwiched between two other famous beaches of Goa; one of these is Calangute Beach which placed just 2 km south of Baga Beach and another is Anjuna Beach by the north.
This is a small beach famous for its lovely view collectively the beach and the Baga River include a small beautiful hill. It is also popular for several activities like, fishing, water sporting, boating, Sun bathing on brown sandy beach, kite surfing, windsurfing, shopping (flea market) and for Dolphin spotting. The beach is derived its name from Baga river which is connected to the Arabian Sea.
Near by attractions of the beach are Anjuna Beach & market, Arpora Beach, Calangute Beach, Aguada Fort, Chapora Fort and many more. Night stay at Baga Beach is a very memorable experience for night club lovers. Maximum night clubs of Baga Beach are located around the Tito's Lane. The climate of Baga Beach remains hot and humid except in winter and receives heavy rain due to the proximity of Arabian Sea. Best season is winter when temperature stay pleasant.

It is an international airport and the international flights from the country of Qatar, Dubâi, Sharjah, Kuwait, Britain, Germany, Netherlánds, Russia, and the major cities of India are available here. After reaching to the airport you can easily reach to Baga Beach with a four wheeler car.
Travel by Roadway: Baga beach is directly connected to Panaji via Mapusa. There have lots of government (Kadamba Transport Corporation, KTC) and private bus operator from Panaji bus station to Baga Bus Station. You can also hire a private Taxi to reach here.
Travel by Railway: Nearest rail station of Baga Beach located at Thivim (Thivim Railway Station) about 18 km away. After reach to this station make a journey to the beach.
