Maharashtra is a state of many natural beauties, Hindu temples, hill stations, 35 wildlife sanctuaries, six national parks and Tiger reserves sites including some World Heritage Sites. Basically the forest region of Maharashtra lies in the Zadipranta which located in the eastern part of Maharashtra or eastern Vidarbha. Some of them are Navegaon National Park, Tadoba Andhari Tiger Project, and Nagzira wildlife sanctuary.

Other important wildlife areas of Maharashtra are Phansad Wildlife Sanctuary (in Raigad district), Koyna Wildlife Sanctuary (Satara district), Pench National Park (in Nagpur district), Chandoli National Park (in Sangli district), Gugamal National Park (in Amravati district), Sanjay Gandhi National Park (in Mumbai region), Sagareshwar Wildlife Sanctuary (in Sangli district) and Maldhok Sanctuary (in Solapur district).

The people of the state mainly worship to the god Ganesh and some important temple of Ganesh is Siddhivinayak and Ashtavinayaka temple of Raigad district. And you will found here several superb hill, land and sea forts like Raigad, Vijaydurg, Pratapgad, and Sinhagad. Majority of them are found along the coastal region of Konkan division.

The most important tourist’s spots of Maharashtra are Ajanta and Ellora including elephanta statue and the superb architecture of Mughal Empire (Bibi Ka Maqbara of Aurangabad) make the Aurangabad a World heritage site. Indian most famous film industry Bollywood is placed in Mumbai. There are many tourist destinations in and around Mumbai.
