Andhra Pradesh is one of most visited tourist's destinations in India due to its pilgrimage sites and amazing natural beauties. Venkateswara Temple (a temple of Hindu God Venkateswara) of Tirumala or Tirupati city at Chittoor district is the richest pilgrimage temple in the word as well as it is the most visited religious place in the world. Other major temples of the state are Saraswati Temple at Basar, Kailasagiri Temple at Visakhapatnam, Sanghi and Birla Temple in Hyderabad City, Chilkur Balaji on the banks of Osman Sagar, Ramappa Temple close to Warangal District, Srikalahasti Temple at Chittoor district, Satyanarayana Swamy at Godavari district, Sri Raja Rajeshwara temple at Karimnagar district, Veerabhadra temple at Ananthapur district, Kanaka Durga Temple at Krishna district and 5 temples of Hindu God Sankar.

Major beaches of the state Andhra Pradesh are Bapatla Beach at Bapatla, Bheemunipatnam Beach at Visakhapatnam, Kakinada-Uppada Road Beach at Kakinada town, Kalingapatnam at Srikakulam district, Kothapatnam at Ongole, Krishnapatnam at Nellore district, Lawson's Bay to Kailasagiri Hill, Manginapudi Beach at Krishna District, Mypad Beach at Nellore district, Ramakrishna Beach at Vishakhapatnam, Ramapuram Beach at Vodarevu, Rishikonda Beach at Vizag or Visakhapatnam and the Vodarevu Beach at Prakasam district.

There have some super natural hill stations like Anatagiri Hills (60 km from Vizag) including an ancient cave called Borra, Horsley hill (144 km from Tirupati) including some beautiful waterfalls (at Papi Kondalu and Ettipotala) and Araku valley at Vishakapatnam.

Some other attractive destinations of the state (AP) are Yaganti Caves of Kurnool District, Mecca Masjid in Hyderabad city, several museums like Salar Jung Museum in Hyderabad, Visakha Museum at Visakhapatnam, S20 Submarine museum, Victoria Jubilee Museum at Vijayawada City including lots of Buddhist centers at Amaravati, Nagarjunakonda or Nagarjuna Sagar Dam (include 12 of Buddhist sculptures), Bhattiprolu, Nelakondapalli, Dhulikatta, Bavikonda, Bojjannakonda, Phanigiri and Kolanpaka and some forts, namely Golconda Fort, Chandragiri Fort. Historic monuments of the state are Chowmahalla Palace and Falaknuma palace.

How and where to go?

Travel by railway: If you planned to reach Andhra Pradesh by Train then Secunderabad Railways Station would be the perfect destination. It is the headquarters of South Central Railway zone. Other important railway stations of the state are Srikakulam and Vijayawada Railway Station.

Travel by airway: If you planned to reach Andhra Pradesh by airways then Hyderabad International Airport or Rajiv Gandhi International Airport would be the perfect destination airport. It is the largest airport of the state placed in Hyderabad city. Other airports are Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, Rajahmundry and Tirupati Airport.

Travel by seaway: Major sea ports of Andhra Pradesh placed at Visakhapatnam and Kakinada. Some other ports are at Krishnapatnam, Machilipatnam and Nizampatnam
