Tamil Nadu is a state of many natural beauties, Hindu temples medieval India, hill stations, beach resorts, religious pilgrimage sites including eight World Heritage Sites. Tamil state was historically very rich in the field of architecture and sculpture. The architecture of Dravidian, Pandya and Cholas are still alive today. Many other temples like Airavateswara temple in Darasuram, the Shore Temple, Nellaiappar Temple of Tirunelveli city, - Meenakshi Amman Temple of Madurai, Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple, Srirangam temple, Rameshwaram temple of Tiruchirappalli and a group collection of some historical monuments in Mahabalipuram or Mamallaburam have been selected as an UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

Tamilnadu is also home to beautiful hill stations. Some of them are Ooty, Kodaikanal, Yercaud, Coonoor, Topslip, Valparai and Manjolai. Some other attractions of Tamil Naru are Kanyakumari, (south most tip of India), Vivekananda Rock Memorial, Thiruvalluvar's statue and the Marina Beach of Chennai is one of the longest beaches in the world.

Government of Tamil Naru has created two Biosphere Reserves, five National Parks and several Wildlife Sanctuaries to protect the flora and fauna of the state. Some of them are Mudumalai National Park, The Gulf of Mannar Biosphere Reserve, Indira Gandhi Wildlife Sanctuary and National Park, Vedanthangal Bird Sanctuary and Arignar Anna Zoological Park.

You will found here more over 2000 species of wildlife which are native to the state. And a variety of mammals and birds like Elephants, Tigers, Leopard, Sloth bears, Gaurs, Lion, Grizzled Giant Squirrels, deer and birds- Cormorants, Darters, Herons, Egrets, Storks, Spoonbills, Ibises, Little Grebes, Moorhen, Pelicans, Dugongs, Turtles and Dolphins.
