The main destination city in the state Mizoram is Aizawl the capital city. And if you a foreign tourist then you have to collect "inner line permit" from Mizoram the Government authorities within India. But in case of Indian tourist it’s not required.

Travel by Rail
There have no train services in Mizoram. The nearest railway station is 184 km away at Silchar in the state city of Assam (Guwahati town). Taxi, Sumo or any passenger car services available here to Mizoram Shilong city.
Travel by Road
National Highway NH-54 connects the state to Silchar. This highway is connected to several state roadways of major cities of Mizoram. Road communication is not so well in the state due to the complex landforms and hilly regions.
Travel by Air
If you planned to go Mizoram by airways then airport of Aizawl (capital city of Mizoram) would be suitable to you. Aizawl Airport is directly connected to Kolkata, Imphal and Guwahti.
