Andaman & Nicobar Islands

Andaman and Nicobar Islands is directly under the control of the central government of India. Its economy highly depends on tourism. Main destination city in this territory is Port Blair. Foreign tourists have to collect a "Restricted Area Permit" to visit here. There have no restrictions in case of Indian tourists except Nicobar Islands.

These Islands build up with 572 small islands on the Bay of Bengal. Cellular Jail or Kalapani is most popular spot of Port Blair as well as in Andaman and Nicobar Islands, dedicated to the freedom fighters of India.

Corbyn's Cove is a beautiful beach located close to Port Blair town. This beach is perfect for swimming and watching the sunset at evening.

Samudrika Marine Museum is located at Delanipur in Port Blair which shows the in formations about five different sections like history, Geographical, natives of Andaman, Archaeology and finally the Marine life.

Central Agricultural Research Institute or CARI is about 4 km away from the Vir Savarkar Airport of Port Blair.

Anthropological Museum is an Interesting Anthropological museum which informs the traditional cultures of the various natives of Andaman and Nicobar Island.

Chatam Saw Mill is located at the northern most edge of Port Blair division. It is the oldest saw mill in Asia.

Jolly Buoy is one of the most visited spots in Port Blair. This place is famous for its superb Corals and fishes where you can do snorkeling.

Mahatma Gandhi Marine National Park is located at Wandoor, 29 km away from Port Blair city.

Mini Zoo is a medium size zoo containing some species which is now shifted to its new place at Chidiya Tapu.

Tour Spots in Nicobar Islands

Car Nicobar Island covers an area of 127 sq km located about 240 km away from Port Blair. It serves as districts headquarter of Nicobar district. Nicobar District has 15 villages which are inhabited and maximum parts of these villages are covered with Coco-nut and Acecanut.

The Great Nicobar Island is largest in Nicobar District with an area of 1045 sq km Located about 540 km away from Port Blair by sea way. The beach near Galathia River is the nesting ground for Giant Leatherback Turtles. It takes about 60 hours to go here from Port Blair.

Nancowry Islands is most attractive islands in Nicobar District. If you wish to visit here then one thing have to keep your mind that there have no hotels to stay and you have to make your own arrangements at the circuit house or village schools.

Katchal Island is located about 425 km away from Port Blair by sea way. It is a small island which heralded the new millennium with the first sunrise on first January 2000. Main attractions of the island are beaches at East Bay Jhula and West Bay.

Tour Spots in Havelock Islands

Radhanagar Beach (No. 7) is most popular sea beach not only in India but also in Asia by visitor choice. It is located just 12 km South-West from Havelock jetty. Sunset view at the beach is so beautiful that will remain etched in your mind rest of your life.

Vijaynagar Beach (No. 5) is a long stretch sandy beach located just 4 km South-East from jetty. The major property of the Department of Tourism, Dolphin Resort is situated close to this beach.

Elephant Beach, another beautiful beach of the Island located about 45 minutes walking distance from Radhanagar. Snorkeling is a memorable and lifetime experience in Elephant Beach. 

Kalapathar Beach is a beautiful lush white sand beach in the high tide and a Black stone beach located 10 km away from jetty. Kalapathar Beach is a lonely spot not many tourists come here honeymooners pay attention to visit here.
