Public Holidays and Festivals in Bangladesh 2019
The Government has decided that the following holidays will be observed in all government & semi-government offices and autonomous & semi-autonomous organizations of Bangladesh in the year 2019.
A) General Holidays list of Bangladesh, 2019

Apart from the 14 general holidays described above (including three weekly holidays), all government & semi-government and autonomous & semi-autonomous organizations in Bangladesh will be observed eight more holidays in the year of 2019 by executive order.

Additional Holiday Lists of Bangladesh, 2019
An employee can be allowed to enjoy an optional holiday of not more than 3 (three) days per year according to his / her own religion. Every employee must take pre-approval of the appropriate authorities to enjoy the optional 3 (three) days of scheduled holidays according to their own religion at the beginning of the year.

Almost all government and semi-government offices and autonomous and semi-autonomous organizations enjoy two weekly holidays on Friday and Saturday each week. However, most non-governmental organizations are scheduled on Friday as weekly holidays. If any above mention holiday coincides with this weekly holiday then it will not be counted as extra holiday.
Time and Date mentioned on the above lists for Muslim and Buddhist festivals (marked by *) are based on the latest known dates and may vary according to the local sightings of the first-day moon.
