Haryana means the abode of God (Hary or Hori - God). The state is perfect destination for religious tour to Hindus. Famous religious spots of the state are Kurukshetra and Thaneswar where you will found several vital sites like the Brahma Sarovar, Sannihit Sarovar, Gurdwara Sadbhiti, Ban Ganga and Bhishma Kund are located at Kurukshetra. There have twenty-nine National Highways and several state highways. Among these the Grand Trunk Road or GT Road, is one the oldest and longest roads in India which is connected to Delhi. Another important National highway of the state is the Delhi-Gurgaon Expressway which has largest toll plaza in India and third largest in world.
Travel by Air: If you planed to go Haryana by Air then Chandigarh Airport would be the suitable destination for you. Another airport in Delhi called Indira Gandhi International Airport is also close to the state.
Travel by Rail: Railway transport of Haryana is also good. The main railway station of the state is Chandigarh Station. Delhi is near to Haryana, so; one can reach Delhi first by Train to reach the state.
